Week 2
In week 2 I learned I updated my blog and self description, I Learned that I do not directly fall into what is categorized as Self Directed Learning (SDL) as laid out by the course I have been taking, I myself am a true SDL and enjoy learning multiple things all at once, I struggle to meet deadlines on class schedules as I feel personally that in order for me to evolve with the steps I have to feel I truly grasp the material before I can advance to the next steps. so I find myself reading, researching and working on multiple things at once, I enjoy finishing all assignments and submitting them all almost simultaneously as to ensure I am submitting my best work. I am not sure at this point if this type of trait will make a the best attributes as a teacher, as I know that it may appear I am unorganized, and at times appear to not know my material. My delivery is strong once I know and understand the material fully, yet, in many situations I can help learners find the relevance or another path to information and retention then the one most common. I am famous for teaching similar material to many learners in multiple ways based on looking for how to reach the path that leads each learner to their AHA moment.
This of course I know can be viewed as helicopter teaching or enabling learners, but I teach for enjoyment, and look for ways to teach outside the box and avoid normality.
